What music are you currently listening to?

Jennette: “I’m super late to the game with Katy Perry. Miranda Cosgrove has been like, ‘You’ve got to listen to Katy Perry,’ so finally I downloaded her albums, and I’m enamored with her. I listen to every single song. I’m looking up tour dates of when I can go see her.”

Are you reading any good books right now?

Jennette: “I’m reading a book called A Brief History of Everything, which my on-set teacher gave to me as a wrap gift, and a book called Getting More, which is a book on negotiations by Stuart Diamond. It’s interesting to see his perspective on how he negotiates everything from brushing his teeth to some huge international decisions. Also, The Style Strategy by Nina Garcia is fantastic. I’ve cleaned out my whole closet, gotten a bunch of stuff tailored—it’s helped me revamp everything and have a fresh eye on fashion.”

Can you tell us about your philanthropic work for St. Jude Children’s Hospital?

Jennette: “St Jude’s doesn’t charge any of the patients—they pay for room and board, and the whole family gets to stay with the patient in Memphis. I’ve visited the hospital multiple times. Any charity that aids or supports trying to find a cure for cancer is very close to my heart. My mom had cancer multiple times, so it’s something that I can relate to.”
You’ve grown up with your iCarly castmates. How does it feel to say goodbye?
Jennette: “We’ve spent every single day of the past five years together. Miranda’s my best friend—she’s such a sweetheart, and there’s nobody funnier than her. I’m very sad to see this experience coming to an end, but I know that I’ll still see her all the time.”
